Hi, my name is Robert Brooks Manfull. My father was Kenneth Brooks Manfull from Augusta, Ohio. He was named after his uncle The Honorable Congressman Thomas Brooks Fletcher who I never met as he died before I was born.

His death,in Washington DC,was not long after he sent a letter to my dad, who aspired to follow in his uncle's foot steps and leave the farm to be a serve in congress. In that letter he told dad to "stay on the farm". " This [ Washington] is not a good place to be",he told dad. My dad did go to Washington one time, but only to investigate his uncle's death he had reason to believe was not of natural causes.

I was born in 1948 about 21 days before Israel became a state. The cartoon my 6 and 12 year old brothers would have seen on a TV or more likely at the Motion Picture Theater, is posted for you to now view and pontificate if we are all brighter and better educated or stupider less informed than our great grandparents were.
